Lucky Leaf Giveaway

by sunshine on November 29, 2009

Congratulations, Kelly!! You are the winner of the Lucky Leave Prize Pack!  Keep an eye on your mailbox, you should be receiving it soon!

Thank you to everyone that entered!  Be on the lookout….there are more great giveaways to come!

Lucky Leaf contacted me asking if I would be willing to try some of their new and improved pie fillings, and my answer….OF COURSE!  I have always been a huge fan of Lucky Leaf pie fillings because you can make delicious tasting desserts in a fraction of the time if you were to make them homemade, which I do not always have time to do.  I made a delicious blackberry cobbler a couple of weeks ago.  My husband and I LOVED it!  We served it with some vanilla ice cream and it was wonderful!

Now comes the great news!  Lucky Leaf has been generous enough to offer a great package of Lucky Leaf goodies for one of you!

Luckyleaf

The Lucky Leaf giveaway package includes one of each of the following:

  • Premium Apple Pie Filling
  • Premium Strawberry Pie Filling
  • Lucky Leaf Recipe Book
  • Pie Plate
  • Can Opener

For your chance to win this great prize package, leave a comment with what kind of dish(es) you would like to make with the apple and strawberry pie filling.  Giveaway ends Wednesday, December 4.

Winner will be contacted and will have 24 hours to claim your prize.

I look forward to hearing your ideas!  Good luck!

Honestly, I can not imagine Lucky Leaf making any better of a product so I must try. During the holidays I make a Dutch Apple Dessert with cream cheese using their apple filling so I know I'd make that same recipe with their new Premium Apple Filling. I can't wait to try it.

I have to go with strawberry cobbler and apple turnovers – thanks for making me drool a little (lot)!

I would make strawberry pretzel salad with the strawberry filling– a layered dessert with cream cheese, pretzels and usually strawberry jello mixture, I think the pie filling would be easier and work the same.

I would also make a dutch apple pie with the apple pie filling–dutch apple has become a favorite in our house.

I love to make apple betty. Strawberry pie filling always makes me want strawberry rhubarb pie though, and I don't think it's rhubarb season.

I'd make two pies:

Apple and Strawberry-Rhubarb. Yes I'd have to go buy the rhubarb, but it's probably better fresh anyway. I'll bet it loses some of its tang if it's canned.

As for the Apple–I like to do a woven top for my pies. It's also fun to take the extra crust and make leaves of flowers out of it. They puff up and look really nice when they come out of the oven!

Ooh, my roommates would love me!

you can't bring up the word pie to me, and expect me to make anything other than pie. if they wanted you to make other things with pie filling, they should just call it filling. once you say pie, it is on like donkey kong.

I think I'd try using that strawberry pie filling with chocolate jello and chocolate wafer cookies and make it sort of a chocolate version of vanilla wafers and banana pudding.

I think the Apple pie filling would be great in a turnover with vanilla ice cream.

I love the Lucky Leaf fillings! I just bought some because Morgan was begging for an apple pie, and I hadn't had time to make one from scratch.

My favorite thing to do with the Lucky Leaf apple filling is the dutch oven cobbler, great for camping or bonfires. If I remember correctly, you dump a can of filling into a camping dutch oven over coals, then top with a white or yellow cake mix and a stick of butter, cut up. Put the lid on and a few coals on top. After a while it's baked to yummy outdoor perfection!

Where I come from (Texas) we call that “dump cake.” Fancy name, huh! It’s one of my favorites though! I’ll have to remember that the next time we go camping!

I have a dessert recipe that’s called blueberries in the snow. You can substitute any pie filling for the blueberry one. It is made from angel food cake, cream cheese, cool whip, and the pie filling.
