Mrs. Prindable’s Gourmet Caramel Apples

August 25, 2009

I received an email asking if I would like to try a Mrs. Prindable’s Gourmet Caramel Apple.   Well, of course!!  When I first got the email I figured it would be your typical caramel apple but was looking quite forward to getting to try it.

When it arrived in the email I was shocked….this caramel apple was HUGE!  Not your typical caramel apple AT ALL!  Mrs. Prindable’s sent me the Triple Chocolate Caramel Apple and it was by far the best caramel apple I’ve ever had….and will probably ever have (that is unless I have another Mrs. Prindable’s apple!).

The caramel that covered this huge apple was amazingly creamy and tasted so delicious.  It had to have been about 1/2 an inch thick.  Then there was the triple chocolate topping….oh my word was it good!  So smooth and creamy and about 1/2 an inch thick just like the caramel.

The jumbo gourmet apples weigh about 1.5 pounds and serve up to 8 people!!  Not in our household though.  My husband and I kept this jumbo apple all to ourselves after we took the first bite.  I was THAT good!!

I highly recommend Mrs. Prindable’s gourmet caramel apples!!!  They are out of this world kind of good!!

I first had a Mrs. Prindable's Apple in 1996 and I've never forgotten it. I almost didn't try it because I didn't like carmel apples – the usual ones you get around Halloween. Was it bliss with the first bite? YES.
I've never stopped coveting them! It's not just any apple – it melts in your mouth and the covering is just the right amount. Big enough to share, for sure!

The on-line ordering and customer service for Mrs. Prindables are horrible. After ordering a gift for delivery on Dec 15 (#205642993), nothing arrived. I called & was told the order would be "cancelled" then got a message later that my order had been shipped to arrive Dec 23 – AFTER the recipient had left for the holidays!! Customer service was nonexistent – told me my order had requested delivery on Dec 23 and was surprised when I told them I had the original order confirmation CLEARLY stating Dec 15, along with a cancellation confimation number!!
Too small a company, too overwhelmed by orders at the holiday season.
STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

These apples look very similar to ones from DeBrito Chocolate. They make the best Caramel Toffee Apples. They are so awesome. I LOVE a good caramel apple.

Wendy, I am disappointed to hear that you had a bad experience with Mrs. Prindable's. I would like to find a way to help. I am unable to locate an order with the number in your post. Please contact us and ask for either Ken or Mike so we can help.
