Christmas Candy Bar Cookies

by sunshine on December 10, 2008

This is a GREAT one that people will think you slaved over  ; )

As you know, I’m all about quick, easy and tasty recipes….and this one is exactly that!  No one will ever know this is store bought cookie dough (shhh….you didn’t hear me just say store bought cookie dough!) and they’ll think you slaved over these cookies (it can be our little secret! : )

Christmas Candy Bar Cookies

Printable Version: Christmas Candy Bar Cookies

  • 1/2 tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough, softened
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 24 miniature Snickers candy bars
  • Red and green colored sugar

Directions: (you ready…..it’s REALLY hard!  You better take notes!)

In a small bowl, beat cookie dough and flour until combined. Shape 1-1/2 teaspoonfuls of dough around each candy bar. Roll in colored sugar.
Place 2 in. apart on parchment paper-lined baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove to wire racks

There you have it…the easiest, most tasty Christmas treat ever!

Tried with a little variation! Had ginger bread cookie dough on hand, used the whole tube, added 1 cup flour and 2 eggs. Had Almond Snickers and Milky Way fun size bars on hand and cut them in half or in thirds and used them instead. Rolled them in green sugar, red sugar, Christmas sprinkles and Christmas balls. Yum!
