Pumpkin Spice Popcorn

October 23, 2008

I’m so thrilled to share one of my favorite Halloween treats with MakeLifeDelicious.com!

Here, now is one of those snacks that bursts with holiday color.  The sweet & savory flavor makes it all the better.

Pumpkin Spice Popcorn

3 Tbsp. Brown Sugar

1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice

1/2 tsp. salt

3 drops red food coloring

6 drops yellow food coloring.

3 Tbsp. Olive Oil

1 c. popcorn kernels

Mix sugar, spice, and salt together.  Set aside.

Whisk food coloring into olive oil.  Pour popcorn & colored olive oil into a large pan on stove top.  Cook, covered, on Medium High heat until fully popped.  Turn off heat.  Quickly uncover and sprinkle spice mixture over popcorn.  Stir to coat over heat, then remove from heat.

Cool and eat.  Trick or Treat!

To make Pumpkin Popcorn strings, simply thread individual pieces with a needle onto basic thread.

A treat OR a trick?  Now, get poppin’!
