Holiday House 2008

October 23, 2008

Holiday House 2008 is just around the corner!  It will be held at the Statehouse Convention Center Nov. 6-8.  I am really looking forward to going!

Last year was my first year to experience Holiday House, and boy what an experience!  There are over 150 merchants from 20 different states at this thing!!  I came away with only one thing last year, but it is my all-time favorite Christmas decoration!  It is a giant vintage snowman that stands at least 3-4 feet tall holding a little Christmas tree.  He is SO cute!!!  And I got him at 75% off the original price….what a steal! ( I wish I had a picture to show you!)

If you can handle big crowds (and I mean BIG) you’ll do fine.  If not, I would recommend maybe going either on Thursday or Friday or maybe even to their private shopping experience to beat the weekend rush….if you go to the “private shopping” you would be first in the show and have first dibs on everything.  Tickets are more expensive for the private shopping, but I would almost pay it.  The crowds of people were almost too much for me last year.
