Fruit Crisp

July 8, 2008

We had this fruit crisp during our stay at Country Oaks B&B. It’s very tasty. People many times compare “Dump Cake” to a fruit crisp, but they are actually very different. I like dump cake, but sometimes it can taste too buttery for me (you only use 2 sticks of butter on it!). This is a very light, crisp, topping and it’s very, very good….and easy!

Ingredients
3 cups fruit (blueberries, peaches, etc.) fresh or frozen ( if using frozen, be sure to thaw first)

1 cup flour

1 egg, beaten

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup + 2 tbsp. butter/margarine, melted

Directions:
Put fruit in sprayed 9X13 dish. Mix sugar, flour and eggs; spread over fruit. Pour melted butter over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
