This picture was taken from the rotunda in the Texas State Capitol in Austin. This was Keith’s first trip to Texas with me and also happened to be when we got engaged : )
The star in the dome is about 218 feet high and 8 feet from point to point (doesn’t look like it, does it?!). Between each point of the star there are letters that spell out Texas (they just look like little dots in the picture but it’s really neat). I know it doesn’t seem like a real ‘exciting’ picture to post for a Fun Friday, but it’s pretty neat to me and brings back some good memories : )
