Our Anniversary Weekend in Mt. View

April 17, 2008

We began our anniversary get-away at Country Oaks B&B. WONDERFUL Bed & Breakfast! Carole and Jerry Weber are the owners and they are so sweet. We arrived Friday night and visited with them for a while talking about the flooding and tornado damage they have suffered over the past couple of months. They said that their community has been amazing and that everyone has pulled together to take care of each other.

Saturday we went to Blanchard Springs Caverns and had a great time. We spent the rest of the afternoon strolling around their downtown and doing a little shopping. That night we went to see The River Rats in concert. What an awesome show. We got to see some men with great talent. They had a harmonica player and fiddle player that were amazing. They also do a little comedy along with their music. We were the youngest there by at least 20 years I think, but it was a lot of fun.

Sunday morning we had our breakfast and decided to head on home. It was very chilly and not a lot of shops are open Sunday (which I appreciate). We made it home and took it easy for the rest of the afternoon.

All in all, we had a wonderful time and were glad we got to get away for a while.

Eric and I will be celebrating our 15th this December and I’ve already told him to get to planning us a trip! Big Cedar Lodge? Hmmm…don’t know yet, but it better be good! Ha! Love the pic of Sunshine looking so sweet on your wedding day!
