A video I Would Like You to Watch

April 18, 2008

I’m not sure how many of you out there watch Oprah. I personally have never really watched her show since I have always worked full time. Over time, I have heard more and more of Oprah being a “New Age” believer. I couldn’t even tell you what her beliefs are since I don’t watch her show. A video about Oprah was passed along to me yesterday and I would like to share it with you. I will tell you, the video disturbed me. Enough to do a little research to find out if the video was a hoax or not. I am sad to say, no hoax.

This is the video that was sent to me. I would ask that you watch these videos to get a better idea of who Oprah is, what she believes and what these “classes” are like. (This video is about 7 minutes long)

The “Church of Oprah” that this video is referring to is an “online “class” that she began a few weeks ago with Eckhart Tolle, author of “A New Earth: Awakening Your Life’s Purpose, ” which both of them (Oprah and Tolle) will refer to as a “spiritual” book. In order to get a seat for this “class” you have to be a member of Oprah.com and her book club (which I will not do), but I have found that people have posted these “classes” on youtube.

The video mentions a book titled
“Don’t Drink the Kook-Aid: Oprah, Obama and the Occult.” While doing my “researching”, I found that the author Carrington Steele is a Christian and wants to open people’s eyes as to what Oprah is doing. Steele states:

This book is meant to enlighten and educate the masses regarding the attempt by one entity of our society to blatantly introduce concepts that are harmful to the very fabric of the American family.

The influence of the most powerful woman in the world, Oprah Winfrey, coupled with her “spiritual” evolution and the persistent determination of her mission, makes reading this book a necessity.

It pulls together the pieces of a puzzle that when placed in order tell it’s own story and should propel concerned citizens to mobilize into action.

Here is a short video about the book:

You can also hear an interview with Carrington Steele by Brannon Howse from Christian Worldview Network here.

(Carrington’s video talks a little bit about Marianne Williamson, who Oprah has had on her show many times and also has daily “lessons” from A Course in Miracles on Oprah’s website. This is quite disturbing as well. Marianne Williamson is known as a “spiritual” speaker/author as well and also began The Peace Alliance.)

You can read more on Oprah snopes.com

These videos scare me. And to think what they are exposing people to with these “classes” scares me even more. The only thing I know to do is pray for Oprah and I encourage you to do the same.
