Wonderful Weekend Getaway

January 17, 2008
Keith and I just got this email from the owner’s of our favorite Bed & Breakfast in Mountain View. If you are looking for a close getaway place, we recommend Mountain View! Went spent the weekend there for our 1st anniversary this past April, and fell in love with this small country town and look forward to spending more time there. I have included a few links and pictures of a few of our favorite spots. (You can see all of the pictures from our trip on our website)

Owners Jerry and Carole write:

Hello Again,

We hope this New Year is looking favorable for you and that you might want to get out and have a fun music weekend! We have scheduled two Parlor Pickin’ Weekends, and still have some rooms available.

The dates are Feb. 1-2 and Feb. 29-Mar.1

Pam Kirby and Gary Rounds will be performing, and will be bringing another picker along. For those of you who’ve heard them perform before, you know their talent is especially showcased in this private setting.

These special Country Oaks events are very popular, so please contact us asap.

Also, the next Bluegrass Festival weekend will be March 6-8th. Mike Snider will be featured on the Saturday show.

Hope to see you soon!

Hi, Sunshine! Thanks for posting on our blog. We love Mountain View, too. I think I’m gonna talk to our Sunday school class about taking a group trip up there sometime during one of the folk festivals. I thought it would be a fun, inexpensive fellowship trip.

    See ya at church!
